About the niu lai 3d style

Niu Lai (牛来) hit Chinese cinemas on 5 August 2026 with a single hand-drawn poster and no marketing. Once the lights went down, audiences met blocky, stiff, sometimes-clipping 3D animation instead — and that gap is the whole reason the film blew up online. This generator makes that cheap-3D look on purpose: an upright bull, an oversized rounded nose, dot eyes, flat matte lighting and a copy-pasted-looking forest behind it.

This is the default starting point, so keep the scene plain. Name a setting and a pose — standing, walking, looking confused — and let the forced Niu Lai style do the rest. Clutter reads as effort, and effort kills the joke; a lone bull on flat ground sells the "budget render" feel better than a busy set. Every image is generated fresh, so you are riffing on the look, not reusing any frame from the actual film.

How to make a niu lai 3d meme

  1. 1

    Describe a simple scene

Say where the bull is and what it is doing — the crude Niu Lai 3D look is applied automatically. The preset starts you in a plain forest.

  2. 2

    Keep it plain

One bull, one setting, one action. Flat and simple reads more "Niu Lai" than a detailed scene.

  3. 3

    Generate

Around 4 credits per image. Square 1:1 suits a single-subject scene; edit the prompt and run it again to iterate.

Frequently asked questions

Do I pick the art style here?

No — the cheap, plastic Niu Lai 3D look is always applied. You just describe the scene you want it applied to.

Why does everything look so rough?

On purpose. The film was made by two people over five years on a tiny budget, and that crude-3D look is exactly what made it a meme.

Is this a still from the movie?

No. Every image is generated fresh in the film’s spirit — we never pass a render off as the studio’s own footage.
